The ceremony and reception is at Lyla’s Pecan Grove and Dance Hall in Mooresville, Alabama.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

The Ceremony

The ceremony will take place in the pecan grove next to Lyla’s Dance Hall. When you arrive, please look for the sheriff directing parking along Old Highway 20. There will be golf carts to whisk you the 150 or so yards from the parking area to the ceremony. There is no parking on the streets in Mooresville.

The Reception

The reception will be in Lyla’s Dance Hall. Located just a few yards from the ceremony, the dance hall is a repurposed open air tractor barn. With a vintage Americana feel, the venue absolutely screams for a live band – Microwave Dave and the Nukes are perfectly suited for the hall. During breaks, an MC / DJ will keep you dancing. Drinks, dinner and desserts will be provided promptly after the wedding ceremony.

The Mooresville Area

Mooresville is located a couple miles east of I65 and just south of  I565. Dating back to 1818, the entire town of Mooresville is on the National Register of Historic Places – we encourage you to get here a little early to walk the streets and take in the historic homes, buildings,  gardens and tree-shaded streets.

Photography

Ashley Vaughn, White Rabbit Studios, will be taking photos during both the ceremony and reception. We’ll have rights to all the photos, so we hope your eyes and attention will be on the ceremony and not on your phone/camera. Allowing Ashley to do her work without distraction or errant flashes will allow everyone to enjoy the ceremony and afterwards we can share the best set of photos possible.

When we stumbled across Mooresville and Lyla’s we instantly knew it was perfect for our wedding. Our celebration will have a natural and rustic vintage feel – it will be us. We want you to be comfortable in anything from casual to dressy – whatever your choice –  jeans, boots, blazers, ties, heels or flats.

While casual, we’ve planned the ceremony and reception for our adult friends and family – the ceremony and reception are not suited for babies and young children – we trust you’ll understand.

The gift of your friendship is all we need – we value your sharing our wedding and spending time to wish us well. We’d like you to consider a donation to 305 8th Street,  Fanconi Anemia Research Fund or Little Orange Fish – charities connected to close friends who’ve shown strength and determination.

Directions

From Huntsville, take I565 toward Decatur – take exit #2 and turn left (south) – look for a sheriff who will direct you to parking. There will be a few golf carts to whisk you the 150 yards to the ceremony area in the pecan grove.

There is no streetside parking allowed in the Mooresville area. Parking to ceremony to reception is all within a few hundred yards.

After the ceremony, walk over to Lyla’s Dance Hall for the reception –  drinks, food and music will be provided promptly.
